Jeffro Brown
Co-Founder
Jeffro was born and raised in Springdale, Arkansas, and is home again after spending most of his 20s in Europe. A 2005 graduate from the University of Arkansas, his BA in English Lit and Creative Writing, with its accompanying minor in European political history, has set him up for nothing whatever specifically.
With a mixed background in poultry farming, professional landscaping, historic preservation, photography, cheese slicing, brewing, inventory, packaging, shipping, and restaurant ownership, he’ll tell you that it’s all a matter of seeing the world without expectations, and nurturing every relationship.
Having watched his home counties skyrocket from dairy farms and dirt roads to technological hubs and real estate opportunities, his passions lie in conservation, sustainability, and inclusion. With whatever time he finds left over, he’s an avid reader, has an assortment of guitars that his talent cannot justify, and collects [real] antique and [toy] model tractors.
Rick Barry
Co-Founder
A proud Eagle Scout, born and raised in Central Illinois, Rick graduated from Illinois State University in 2010 with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. Not too long after moving to Northwest Arkansas in the Summer of 2013, Rick began working on his MPA at the University of Arkansas’ Fulbright School, while working to help resettled refugees understand the workforce and obtain steady employment.
Having stumbled into the entrepreneurship game by chance, Rick’s day job is Co-Owner/Co-Founder of Exigency Consulting LLC, a firm that works to ensure that underserved communities have access to professional services that can help them plan, prepare, mitigate and recover from disasters man-made and natural. Ever-passionate about smart growth and development, Rick has worked with leadership across the state and at the University of Arkansas to prepare a Planning and Community Development degree program, taught Political Science and served on the Board of Directors for Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) and the Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation (SPSEF).
Rick resides in his adoptive hometown of Springdale, AR, with the love of his life, Molly, a few guitars and a library of books that seems to grow faster than they get read.
